PARTNERING TO SUPPORT FOSTER FAMILIES
Purpose: Collaborate with churches, county offices, FFAs, and foster care nonprofits to provide one-on-one family support and small group opportunities.
FOCUS 1: ONE-ON-ONE FAMILY SUPPORT
Goal: Offer personalized spiritual and emotional care to foster families.
- How We Partner with Churches: Partner with churches and pastors to provide one on one family support.
- Howe we Partner with County Offices & FFAs: Be available for support and encouragement to foster families and ongoing support in partnership with county offices and FFA’s.
FOCUS 2: SMALL GROUP SUPPORT
Goal: Create safe spaces for foster families and youth to connect and heal.
- How We Partner with Churches: Provide space for monthly small groups
- How We Partner with County Offices & FFAs: Host monthly support groups or be available to existing support groups.
FOCUS 3: RESOURCING LOCAL COMMUNITY
Goal: Enhance the work of foster care partners with added resources.
- How We Partner with Churches: Partner to provide resources to foster families both local and regional
- How Parent with County Offices & FFAs: Integrate chaplaincy into what your organization is doing
FOCUS 4: CONNECTING CHURCHES TO THE FOSTER COMMUNITY
Goal: Unite churches across Solano County to provide holistic support to foster families,
- How We Partner with Churches: Coordinate churches to collectively serve foster families.
- Howe We Partner with County Offices & FFAs: Bridge churches with community to meet needs of foster families

- Impact: There are approximately 450 foster youth in Solano County. Each represents a foster family in need of support and encouragement.
