HOW YOU CAN PRAY FOR FOSTER CARE

• Pray for children in foster care in your community.  Many have dealt with significant trauma and abuse.

• Pray for the biological families of children in foster care. Pray God begins to deliver them from their addictions and brokenness.

• Pray for resource (Foster) parents who care for children. There is significant challenges that come with fostering a child.

• Pray for the church to answer the call to foster care ministry.  God has called the church to care for the orphan.  May we do our part

• Pray for adoptive parents providing permanent homes for children.  There are many challenges families will face due to adopting a child from foster care.

•  For Child Welfare and Social Workers on the front lines.  These workers have put themselves in the middle of difficult family dynamics.

• Pray for Counselors and Therapists helping children heal.  Children in foster care deal with significant trauma due to the impact of neglect and abuse.

• Pray for teachers who work with foster kids in their classrooms.  Many students in foster care have learning difficulties due to the impact of neglect and abuse.

• Pray for the lawyers and judges who must make difficult decisions.  Life altering decisions are made at the hands of our judicial system.  Pray God provides them wisdom.

• Pray for Law Enforcement who partner with Child Welfare. Many answer calls where families are dealing with domestic violence, various types of abuse and neglect.

• Pray for respite care providers who support resource families.  Many give sacrificially to help foster families get the resources they need.

• Pray for those who advocate for foster care in your community.  Pray God uses them to inspire others to consider foster care, respite care and foster care outreach.

• Pray for Healthcare profession who see the trauma of neglected children firsthand.  Many will see the physical and emotional toll neglect and abuse has taken on children.

• Pray for youth aging out of foster care that they are equipped and prepared to handle the challenges of adult life.

• Pray for all who are impacted by the removal of a child from a home, family and community due to the impact of neglect and abuse
